Veggie burger baby!!


Finally got around to making my own veggie-burger. I have to say that it was really fun!! I’ll have to experiment some more with recipes and techniques.

Oh… and I decided to skip the bun this time. Instead I wrapped it in several layers of lettuce. It really brought out the flavor of the veggieburger. But since I like mustard and ketchup so much it was getting messy. No problem. I just kept the head of lettuce handy and added more wraps as needed. In the end I ate a salad and a veggie burger all by hand. And then I went back for seconds without the guilt.

Growing up in a hamburger and cheeseburger nation and switching to vegan is not easy. In fact it’s crazy!! But when you get the flavors of the good veggieburger dancing around the tastebuds it’s not too difficult to forget what that red meat even tasted like.

Come this August it will be four years since I’ve had cow. Up until now I’ve been relying on the store-bought veggie burgers. But now I’m going to make my own veggie burgers baby!!!
